My regular reviews usually covered restaurants that, for whatever reason, I had to review: they were newsy, had big names attached, or were generating lots of buzz. Ah, but those $20 and Unders ... these were all restaurants that I loved and patronized in my non-critic life. Each one was wonderful in its own way, and I was eager to tell readers about them.
